SAN FRANCISCO (September 2021) – Boutique San Francisco developer, Wilson Meany, and real estate investment firm, Stockbridge Capital Group, are pleased to announce the start of construction on The Townhomes and The Flats at Yerba Buena Island. Yerba Buena Island is a naturally formed island, which is a part of the City of San Francisco, nestled in a remarkably distinct setting beside the Bay Bridge. Representing a collection of 31 expansive private residences ranging from ~2,100 – 4,200 square feet, The Townhomes and The Flats are designed to blend in with the island’s topography, providing sweeping views of the San Francisco skyline and surrounding Bay Area, and unprecedented indoor-outdoor living.  The groundbreaking marks a significant milestone for the landmark development, and arrives as construction on The Bristol, a six-story condominium building comprising 124 modern residences, nears completion with move-ins starting in early 2022.

“We are proud to break ground on The Townhomes and The Flats at Yerba Buena Island and start bringing to life these very spacious homes, which are set within a natural oasis with spectacular views in every direction and world-class design by award-winning Hart Howerton and Meyer Davis,” said Chris Meany, Partner at Wilson Meany. “These unique residences invite homeowners to reconsider not only where they live but how they live by providing endless opportunities to be inspired by the outdoors as well as the vibrancy of one of the world’s most spectacular cities.  Already, we’ve seen interest and sales from a variety of buyers including those wanting to move back to San Francisco and others seeking a new way to enjoy the City.”

The Townhomes, single-family rowhouse residences with private entrances; and The Flats, private single-floor residences within boutique luxury buildings with dramatic views; embody the best of island living. Each element of the residences showcases distinct high design, tied together by an overarching architectural vision by award-winning firm, Hart Howerton.
