The Summit Camp of Carson City’s private, gated Clear Creek Tahoe community features sprawling lawns with fire pits, a pair of pools and multiple sport courts.
Architectural pedigree abounds at Clear Creek Tahoe. One of its most notable structures, the Twin Pines Lake & Ski House, was conceptualized by Julia Morgan. The treasured structure is a popular destination every July 4, as residents converge at the structure to gaze at fireworks.
Located about 20 minutes from Incline Village and Heavenly Ski Resort, Clear Creek Tahoe provides residents with close proximity to the slopes during snow season. The rest of the year, the oasis features hiking trails, woodland vistas and a championship golf course designed by course architects Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw. The course has been named the best in Nevada and one of the top 25 courses in the country.
With its pair of swimming pools, plethora of tennis and basketball courts and a collection of gas fire pits, Summit Camp serves as the community’s oasis during summer months. Summit Camp includes a water slide that weaves through to mature pine trees and was crafted from century-old timber.
Hart Howerton, an architectural firm with offices in San Francisco, developed plans for Clear Creek Tahoe’s clubhouse, which is under construction. When completed, the clubhouse will frame views of Jack’s Valley and rocky outcroppings.
