Delta Coves, a water-centric real estate community in Bethel Island, Calif., unveiled its newest amenity offering—the Island Camp, a 15,000-sq.-ft. activity hub and private club designed by San Francisco-based architectural firm Hart Howerton, slated to open in early July.

Located on a private, swimmable lagoon off the canals of the California Delta in Bethel Island, Calif., the community is home to waterfront residences all featuring private boat docks. Home configurations include three- to five-bedrooms and three- to five-and-a-half baths, starting from the high $700,000s to $1.6 million.

Delta Coves is situated just minutes from “fast water” at the gateway to 1,000-plus miles of waterways for unlimited boating, fishing and water sports pursuits. As the centerpiece of social life at Delta Coves, residents will enjoy a variety of programming and on-site activities available at the Island Camp, curated by DMB Community Life.

The Island Camp features amenities including a state-of-the-art fitness center and movement studio; a club room with picturesque views of the lagoon; an event lawn; a pool complex including a main pool, toddler pool and hot tub with cabanas for lounging; and a Duffy boat bar, created from a refurbished Duffy boat and positioned on a sandy corner of the Island Camp alongside the water. Additionally, the game pavilion will serve as an indoor-outdoor activity space complete with ping-pong, shuffleboard, bag toss, a wide range of family table games and barbecues.

“Boating, fishing and other water sports are essential elements of living on the Delta, but it’s the camaraderie of the community that defines the Delta Coves lifestyle,” said Nick Taratsas, General Manager of Delta Coves and Executive Vice President of DMB Development, LLC. “The Island Camp is not only a gathering place for family and friends, but the ultimate boaters club with state-of-the-art offerings, quality craftsmanship and thoughtfully-designed programming. It’s truly unlike any other community in the region, ideal for weekend adventurers, serious boaters and serenity seekers alike.”

In conjunction with builder partners Davidson Communities and Blue Mountain Communities, Delta Coves launched sales in September 2019 and welcomed its first residents shortly thereafter. The community, which will feature 494 waterfront residences, offers a collection of move-in ready homes and custom options, with seven model homes available for in-person and virtual tours. All homes offer a contemporary Delta-style design with expansive private decks, gourmet kitchens with stainless steel appliances, thoughtful interiors and eco-friendly features such as tankless water heaters, water-saving plumbing and energy-efficient lighting.

Davidson Communities offers six two-story floorplans ranging in size from 2,849 to 4,839 sq. ft. and three- to five-bedroom, three-and-a-half to five-and-a-half bathroom configurations with options for a third story ‘crow’s nest.’ The Davidson Communities homes feature a Delta farmhouse-style and subtle low country-inspired touches. Blue Mountain Communities features three floorplans ranging in size from 1,864 to 2,286 sq. ft. and three- to five-bedroom, three-bathroom configurations, and a contemporary waterside design aesthetic.
