A year after becoming a majority owner of the Ritz-Carlton hotel on Miami’s Key Biscayne, Gencom is temporarily closing the oceanfront property to launch a $100 million renovation, the developer announced.
Nearly 25 years after co-developing The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami, Gencom is leading a $100 million transformation of the iconic 275,000-square-foot, 17-acre resort. Originally opened in 2001, this marks its first comprehensive renovation, with reopening slated for December.
“These enhancements will allow the property to remain competitive in the region’s increasingly sophisticated hospitality landscape, while further elevating Key Biscayne as a premier destination,” Karim Alibhai, founder and principal of Gencom, said in a statement.
