Crafting a “whole systems” sustainable development strategy

At Cattle Creek we crafted a sustainable development strategy and a new model for environmentally sensitive community development to shape expansion in the region and provide a solid basis for negotiating multi-agency entitlements. The plan included:

1. •  Transit Oriented Development (TOD) concepts to address on-site trip reduction and regional transportation
   

2. •  Creating a complete Colorado town with walkable neighborhoods, schools, retail, offices, recreation and community facilities
   

3. •  A range of residential products including work force and affordable housing
   

4. •  A revitalized landscape for trails, parks and open spaces
   

5. •  Performance based design standards for infrastructure, landscapes
   and buildings.
