Protecting open space as the core principle of creating a
“Community in a Preserve”

We helped craft an innovative conservation community plan that set aside over 20,000 acres of open space in perpetuity. The plan includes over 280 carefully selected home sites surrounded by vast areas of ecological preserve. The plan evolved from a six-year study of the natural and scenic resources — the most extensive environmental analysis ever undertaken by a private developer. The establishment of rigorous development standards, and an endowed, Conservancy ensure that this small, vital residential community provides the philosophical, cultural, and financial support required for long-term preservation of natural resources.
